Rue Beason
Rue Beason and her clan recently moved from living near the beaches of Southern California for 25 years to the mountains of Nor Cal in 2018. They feel like living in Redding is a dream come true. Rue and her husband served as Mission Pastors in Los Angeles for 12 years which led them to various trips around the world, including Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Rue is naturally a friend to everyone and has a passion to see people surrounded by community. She has previously led gatherings and retreats and is always amazed at how Jesus shows up in powerful ways every time. Rue loves to go for long walks with those she cherishes. She feels most alive when she is CREATING and CONNECTING.
Anne Catrett
Anne Catrett has been married for 38 years and has 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Anne is a woman of unrelenting FAITH and JOY. On June 14, 2010, Anne had a dramatic encounter with God. She was healed immediately after suffering 40 years from severe fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and ongoing deep spiritual woundings from childhood. Before moving to Redding in 2014 to enroll in Ministry school, Anne had been an elementary school teacher in both San Jose, California as well as Juneau, Alaska. When Anne is not cooking up beautiful, gorgeous food or volunteering at her local church, she can be found enjoying her 8 grandchildren to the fullest. She is passionate about leading retreats as she believes that intimate connection and relationship is essential to building a healthy church and community.
Rachel Jacobs
Rachel has lived in beautiful Redding, California since 1998. Rachel and her husband celebrated 22 years of marriage this year and are parents to two beautiful daughters. During the day she works as an Elementary School Counselor, and her empathy and compassion make her beloved to all who know her. Rachel is a lover of God and people. She strongly believes that every human being is created for relationship, family, and to be richly rooted in community. She loves hosting retreats because it is a time to pull away from routine and the demands of regular life and be infused with new life! She feels It is so empowering when we have fresh perspective, hope, and courage to live from our heart. Rachel has had several powerful life-changing moments at retreats. When Rachel isn’t cheering her kids on in their various sports, planning new family adventures on the beaches of Santa Cruz or co-pastoring a local church with her husband, she loves sitting by the pool, and enjoying fine chocolate of all types.
Jill Martin
Jill Martin is from a small island in Alaska where she experienced deep community and long term friendships. It wasn’t until she went to college that she found that not everyone experienced that same level of connection. Since moving to Redding CA in 2009 Jill has discovered a passion for building healthy community around her. Jill and her husband have always enjoyed gathering people and love to travel and visit their two adult children. When Jill is not working as a Labor and Delivery nurse or volunteering at her local church, she can be found on her boat or out just enjoying nature. One of her greatest pleasures in life is a delicious meal with friends and family topped off by anything chocolate.
Shelly McCandliss
Shelly McCandliss is originally from Hood River, Oregon. Her husband and two teenage boys moved to Northern California in 2012 where they have continued to live out their passion for the outdoors. They are avid rock climbing, biking and hiking enthusiasts. Shelly loves Jesus and connecting people to Him. She led an outdoor rafting retreat for 14years and is passionate to continue to see retreats happen. Shelly is not only a leader, mom, wife and devoted friend she is also an author. Tami McQuoid
Tami McQuoid moved to Redding in 2011 from Minneapolis, MN. Her husband and four children fell in love with the beautiful Northern California climate and outdoor opportunities. Tami has been leading and teaching at retreats for several years. Since her first retreat in 1997 where she met her husband, she knew her heart was to provide more opportunities to gather others to grow in relationship and deepen their love of God. Tami has been an OB RN for over 22 years and is an adjunct Nursing instructor at a local college. Her two favorite words are FUN and CONNECTION. She loves to empower people. Tami is passionate about health, fitness and long lazy days on any white beach she can find. When she isn’t driving her children around she may be walking their goldendoodle Sam or tinkering in the backyard on a DIY project.
